Beautyrest Harmony Lux

The Harmony Lux mattresses as a whole combine some of Beautyrest’s greatest innovations when it comes to support, comfort, cooling, and sustainability.  

The biggest differences between the Harmony Lux and the Harmony Lux Hybrid lines are in the design and make-up of the mattresses. The Hybrid line is a cross between an all-foam mattress and an innerspring mattress.  

When you lay on a Hybrid mattress, it will feel more comparable to a traditional foam mattress, with the added support of a coil base. Because the foams used in the Hybrid model are mostly memory foam, that material has a slower reaction time. As you lay on the mattress, it will take a few minutes to sink into the foam and receive the pressure-relieving benefits. The Hybrid models offer a great amount of support, but still provide the bounce you would come to expect from a traditional mattress. The Hybrid mattresses also have a flatter, more squared-off look.  

In the traditional Quilted Harmony Lux lines, the foam layers are a combination of polyurethane foam and memory foam layers. The top layers will be polyurethane foam followed by memory foam layers deeper down in the mattress. Memory foam is a slow recovery material, whereas, polyurethane foam is a quick response foam. This will provide a very different feel than a Hybrid product.

The Harmony Lux line is divided into two categories: Anchor Island and Coral Island. Both lines offer traditional top and pillow-top mattresses in varying levels of firmness. The main difference between the two lines is the materials used. 

The Coral Island line is considered a step above the Anchor Island line, as it is optimized for the coolest sleep experience possible and features a superior pressure relief system. This line includes InfiniCool® Max cooling technology with three layers of cooling in the cover, compared to the Inficool® Lux cooling technology found in the Anchor Island with only two layers of cooling. Additionally, the Coral Island line features RightTemp™ Wave Foam, a high-conductive carbon fiber-infused foam that provides consistent support and helps keep you cool night after night. 

Beautyrest mattresses are available for purchase at retailers throughout the United States. Retailers can pick and choose which products they will have on display for consumers to try out. Retailers often change their inventory frequently.

When selecting the Anchor Island model you will have the option of Firm, Plush, Medium Pillow Top, or Plush Pillow Top.  

When Selecting the Coral Island model you will have the option of Extra Firm, Medium, Firm Pillow Top, or Plush Pillow Top.  

Depending on which mattress option you choose, the height of the Harmony Lux Mattress will range between 12.5” and 15.75".

The Harmony Lux mattress incorporates Double Stranded 1255 Series Pocketed coils. These coils offer 40% more support than regular Harmony mattresses and provide advanced motion isolation for any sleep position, resulting in increased support.

The cover of the Harmony mattress uses plastics from the ocean that are transformed into upcycled fibers which get knit into a breathable fabric construction.

Firmness is going to be subjective from person to person, but we do have a few guidelines that can help you to find the best fit for you. We recommend thinking about what you are looking for in a mattress first, and where your problem areas are. It tends to be easier to point in the direction of what model may work best from there.  

The easiest way to narrow down what you are looking for is to dive into what kind of sleeping position you prefer.  

Stomach sleepers tend to benefit from an overall firmer feel. Usually trying to avoid a pillow top model, and searching for a mattress that is going to be on the Firm or Extra Firm side will help with the support the stomach sleepers need, and will not be too soft. We usually recommend not selecting a model that is softer than a medium feel, as that tends to be too soft for this type of sleeper.  

Back sleepers tend to benefit from a Firm to a Medium feel mattress. These mattresses provide enough support to keep your neck and back aligned and offer enough pressure relief to help cradle those critical pressure points.  

Side sleepers usually find themselves looking into a Medium or Plush feeling mattress. Often, side sleepers will look at a Pillow Top model to add an extra bit of softness to the mattress's comfort level. Side sleepers have critical pressure points on the hip and shoulder area that often require a bit more pressure relief that comes from a Medium mattress or softer.  

These guidelines tend to narrow down the search a little bit, but it is important to remember each person is different and will have different needs.
